Used Book Pricing

What you pay for used books differs depending on if you have Used Book Credit to apply.

WITHOUT CREDIT

Used Paperbacks: 1/2 of the original publisher's price.  The square stickers found on the back of our used books are subject codes for our use and should be disregarded.  Some publishers don't print a price on their books (Scholastic, for example), so we'll write the original price on the back.  You pay half of that price.

Used Hardcovers:  Will have a price written in pencil inside, on the upper right-hand corner.  It will generally be written on the first white page, so you may have to flip back a page or two.  Children's board books will have the price written on the back cover.

WITH CREDIT (Read the Credit Policy)

Used Paperbacks:  The original publisher's price of the paperback will be deducted from the appropriate type of credit. If you don't have enough credit to cover your purchase, any remaining balance after using the credit, will be cut in half.  You are then charged a handling fee, which is 10% of the amount of credit used.  For example, if you're buying $25.00 in used paperbacks, we'll deduct that amount from your credit, and you pay us $2.50 plus tax.

Used Hardcovers:  The price marked inside will be deducted from the appropriate type of credit. If you don't have enough credit to cover your purchase, you will pay any remaining balance after using the credit.  You are then charged a handling fee, which is 10% of the amount of credit used.
