KBB is Moving

We’re Moving, but Our Mission Continues

Making Tracks to Our New Location

Katy Budget Books will relocate to the Mason Creek shopping center—at Mason Road and Cimarron Parkway—during the first week of December.

KBB’s story began in 1983, when owner Tamra Doré bought a shelf of books and a cash register. In most of the 36 years since, KBB has remained at the same intersection. The Katy area, meanwhile, has grown in all directions. This growth has expanded our community—as the independent bookstore serving Katy, our customers now span great distances. Since its start, KBB has always evolved to meet Katy’s reading needs.

In that spirit, we have decided to move. Our new location is in the Mason Creek shopping center, at 870 S Mason Rd #101. This location is significantly more convenient for most of our customers, but it is only 10 minutes from our current location.

KBB is a new and used bookstore with a unique selection of gift items. Our booksellers are always on hand to help find the perfect book for you and the special people in your life. We maintain all Katy ISD required reading in stock. Our location will change, but our welcoming spirit will not. We remain committed to our customers, our credit policy, our affordability, and our belief in the value of a community that reads. Now, we will open these services to more of the Katy area.

UPDATE: KBB will close Sun, Dec 1 - Thurs, Dec 5. We will reopen at our new location at 870 S. Mason Rd #101 on Fri, Dec 6 at 10 AM.
