Q: Are all the books I find on the website available?
A: The books seen on the website come from a huge database which includes in-print, out-of-print, and hard to find books. When you click on the title of the book, you will see it's inventory status.
"Usually Ships in 1-5 days" means that the book is readily available from our warehouses
"Special Order" refers to something that is not currently in stock at the warehouse but may be available elsewhere and will take longer to arrive.
"Out of Print" titles are no longer available as new books, but we can check on the availability of used copies.
Q: Are the books I find on the website also at the store?
A: We do not have the store's inventory listed on the website at this time, so the book you are looking for may or may not also be at the store. Please call or e-mail with any questions you may have.
Q: If I pick up my order at the store, when will it be available?
A: If you choose to pick up your order at the store, the warehouse will hold your order and send it with the rest of the store's normal shipment. The store will usually receive your order within 3-5 business days, barring any weather delays with UPS.
If it's in stock at the store, we'll pull it and notify you immediately.
Q: If I have the book shipped to my home, when will I receive it?
A: If the stock status of the title says "Usually Ships in 1-5 days", that means the title is easily available through either our store or our national warehouses. It might not be in our store inventory, but we can obtain it quickly.
If it is available at the warehouse, it will normally take a day or two to process your order. It will rarely take longer than that, but it can take up to five days. Once your order is processed and ready to leave the warehouse, it's shipped USPS Priority Mail for 2-3 day delivery. Also, if the items you've ordered will be available at different times, you have the ability to choose whether to ship all of the items together-and pay shipping once-or to split the order and pay shipping on each package.
Q: If I pay online, when is my credit card charged?
A: When you check out, a hold is put on your card for the amount of your order. This ensures that the funds will be available to cover the purchase, but does not actually remove the funds from your account. If nothing else is done, the hold will eventually expire and you will never be charged for the purchase. Your card will only be charged when the order is filled.
