Professional artist and graphic designer Layne Johnson signs The Declaration of Independence From A to Z, the children's book he illustrated.

Layne Johnson is a native Texan who has created art for more than a dozen children's books, several of which have earned him honors and awards, including the Oppenheim Toy Portfolio Gold Seal Award winner Brian's Bird. He earned a bachelor of fine arts from the University of Houston, and is a memeber of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators and the Picture Book Artists Association.
